Ann Nesby
Formerly the lead vocalist for the 30-piece gospel choir Sounds of Blackness, Ann Nesby struck out on her own in 1996 with a hit album for the Perspective label, "I'm Here For You", produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.
Her hits include "I'm Still Wearing Your Name", "This Weekend", "Lovin' Is Really My Game", "Love Is What We Need" and a duet with Shirley Caesar, "The Stone".
